MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard addressed the media ahead of Wednesday’s matchup against Minnesota (16-6, 6-5).
Up to No. 19 in the latest Associated Press Poll, the Badgers (16-6, 8-3) have won five consecutive games. UW also stands No. 12 in the newest updated NET rankings with five Quadrant 1 wins.
Wisconsin is looking to avenge a 59-52 loss to the Golden Gophers in Madison back on Jan. 3. In that defeat, the Badgers scored just 14 points in the first half, trailing 29-14 going into the locker room. Beginning the final period on a 12-2 run, UW rallied to get within 49-47 with just 2:05 remaining. However, Minnesota would score on its next four possessions, while Wisconsin committed three turnovers during that span.
